North West Province, South Africa – Neil Schietekat shot 4- under-par 68 on Saturday to win the Platinum Classic by three strokes.
Schietekat finished 54 holes at Mooinooi Golf Club at 15-under 201 to wrap up his first win on the Sunshine Tour.
Jaco Ahlers carded a final-round 69 to take second place at 12-under, James Kamte (70) grabbed third at 11-under and Vaughn Groenewald (71) finished in fourth at minus-10.
Overnight leader Jacques Kruyswijk stumbled to a 75 and tied for fifth place with Michael Hollick (73) at 9-under.
Schietekat began the day one stroke back, but promptly found himself in front, as Kruyswijk bogeyed six holes during his outward nine.
Taking advantage, Schietekat eagled the par-4 third, then birdied three straight from the seventh to turn with a comfortable lead.
He held steady during the home stretch, reeling off eight straight pars before an inconsequential bogey at the last.
