Ernests Gulbis of Latvia and Spain's Guillermo Garcia-Lopez were semifinal winners Saturday and will play for the title at the St. Petersburg Open.

The sixth-seeded Gulbis cruised to a 6-3, 6-3 win over Poland's Michal Przysiezny in the first semifinal before Garcia-Lopez thumped Portugal's Joao Sousa in a 6-1, 6-1 rout.

Gulbis will try for his second title of the year, having beaten Edouard Roger- Vasselin to capture the Delray Beach crown back in February. He is 3-0 lifetime in ATP finals.

Garcia-Lopez is 2-2 all-time in title matches, including a loss to Lukas Rosol in the Bucharest final back in April. His last tournament triumph came three years ago in Bangkok.

Gulbis lost to Garcia-Lopez in the Bangkok quarterfinals three years ago after winning the first meeting between the two at this event in 2008.

The 2013 St. Petersburg titlist will earn $78,000.
