Rob Gronkowski's season debut remains uncertain, with the New England Patriots listing the All-Pro tight end as questionable for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Gronkowski, recovering from offseason surgeries to his back and forearm, was limited practice participant throughout this week after being held out of the first two games. The Patriots had declared the fourth-year pro doubtful on the final injury report for each of those contests.

While Gronkowski's status continues to be unclear, slot receiver Danny Amendola is expected to miss a second straight game due to a reported torn muscle in his groin. The replacement for Wes Welker suffered the injury in New England's season-opening win at Buffalo on Sept. 8 and was inactive for the Patriots' 13-10 triumph over the New York Jets the following Thursday.

Amendola is doubtful for Sunday's game, while wide receiver Matthew Slater has been ruled out after fracturing his wrist against the Jets.

Rookie tight end Zach Sudfeld, who missed last week's contest with a hamstring issue, is probable to face the Bucs.
