Carlos Berlocq of Argentina and Albano Olivetti moved into the second round of the Moselle Open with straight-sets wins on Wednesday.
Berlocq, who won the Swedish Open in July, did not face any break points in his 6-3, 6-4 victory over Jiri Vesely.
Meanwhile, Olivetti served 20 aces to beat 2010 runner-up Mischa Zverev 7-5, 7-6 (3). The French wild card saved four break points in the first set and jumped to a 3-0 lead in the tiebreaker.
In his return from a knee injury, top-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was set to play Edouard-Roger Vasselin in an all-French match later on Wednesday.
