The Bengals bolstered their defensive secondary for their next game against the Green Bay Packers, signing free-agent cornerback Curtis Marsh on Wednesday.

They placed defensive end Robert Geathers on injured reserve with an elbow injury suffered during a 20-10 win over Pittsburgh on Monday night.

The Bengals also re-signed safety Jeromy Miles, whom they waived on Monday. Miles has been one of their top tacklers on special teams the last two years. They waived linebacker J.K. Schaffer, who could sign back onto the practice squad if he clears waivers.

The Bengals needed help at cornerback heading into a home game Sunday against the Packers. Dre Kirkpatrick strained a hamstring against Pittsburgh, depleting their depth. Marsh was waived by Philadelphia on Sept. 5.
