Sacramento State's DeAndre Carter was as clutch as can be in catching five touchdowns during the Hornets' 63-56 overtime win over Southern Oregon Saturday night.
The junior wide receiver caught a 6-yard touchdown from quarterback Garrett Safron with one second remaining in the fourth quarter to help send the game to overtime at 56-56.
He later caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Safron for the only touchdown in overtime.
Carter finished with 12 receptions for 122 yards, also catching touchdowns of 7, 5 and 22 yards.
Safron was 34-of-52 for 368 yards and seven touchdowns with one interception.
Sacramento State is 1-2 after winning its home opener.
