Green Bay Packers running back Eddie Lacy was forced out of Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins with a concussion during the first quarter.

Lacy suffered the injury on his only rush attempt of the game, a 10-yard burst on Green Bay's opening drive in which the rookie took a helmet-to-helmet hit from Redskins safety Brandon Meriweather. The Packers stated that the former Alabama standout would not return shortly afterward.

Meriweather, incidentally, was knocked out of the contest with a concussion of his own early in the second quarter after colliding with James Starks, who took over for Lacy at running back.
