Czechs to face Serbia in Davis Cup final

The Czech Republic will defend its Davis Cup crown against Serbia.

The tandem of Tomas Berdych and Radek Stepanek gave the Czechs an insurmountable 3-0 lead in the best-of-five semifinals tie against Argentina by winning Saturday's doubles rubber.

Argentina did close out the semifinals on a high note, as Horacio Zeballos and Leonardo Mayer swept Sunday's singles rubbers. Zeballos rallied to beat Lukas Rosol, 4-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-4, while Mayer posted a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Jiri Vesely.

The Czechs captured their first Davis Cup title last year by beating perennial powerhouse Spain. They will look to repeat in November's finals.
