Detroit Lions offensive tackle Jason Fox will not play in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals due to a groin pull he sustained in last weekend's season opener.
Fox was forced to exit last Sunday's 34-24 home win over Minnesota in the first half with the injury. The fourth-year pro was making his first career start at right tackle.
Journeyman Corey Hilliard replaced Fox against the Vikings and will draw the starting assignment for Detroit's Week 2 tilt in Arizona.
Defensive tackle Nick Fairley is the Lions' only player whose status in uncertain for Sunday. The 2011 first-round pick did not practice the previous two days with a shoulder injury before returning on a limited basis on Friday, and is listed as questionable.
Backup safety Don Carey (hamstring) is doubtful for the game.
Running back Reggie Bush, who racked up 191 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown in his Lions debut last Sunday, is probable to face the Cardinals. He dislocated his left thumb against the Vikings but was able to play through it.
