49ers WR Boldin highlights NFC weekly winners

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Anquan Boldin, St. Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver/punt returner Dwayne Harris have been named the NFC's top performers for the first week of the 2013 season.

Boldin, acquired from Baltimore for a sixth-round pick in the offseason, caught 13 passes for 208 yards and a score in the 49ers' 34-28 win over Green Bay. He became the first player in NFL history to record a 100-yard receiving game in his debut for three different teams (Arizona, Baltimore, San Francisco).

Quinn had three sacks and forced two fumbles in the Rams' 27-24 win over Arizona. The third-year pro out of North Carolina recorded a sack and forced fumble in the fourth quarter that led to a game-tying field goal.

Harris notched three special teams tackles and returned two punts in the Cowboys' 36-31 victory over the New York Giants. He ranks fourth in the NFC with a 9.5-yard punt-return average.

Others considered for the offensive award included Detroit running back Reggie Bush, who had 101 receiving yards, 90 yards rushing and scored a touchdown in a 34-24 win over Minnesota; St. Louis tight end Jared Cook, who had seven catches for 141 yards with two touchdowns in the victory over Arizona; and Philadelphia's LeSean McCoy, who ran for 184 yards with a touchdown in a 33-27 triumph over Washington on Monday night.

Defensive consideration went to Minnesota linebacker Erin Henderson, who had 11 tackles with an interception in the loss to Detroit, and Chicago cornerback Charles Tillman, who had seven tackles and two interceptions in a 24-21 win over Cincinnati.

St. Louis kicker Greg Zuerlein was nominated for the special teams award after converting all four field goal tries against the Cardinals.
