The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim activated second baseman Howie Kendrick from the 15-day disabled list prior to Tuesday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Kendrick has been out more than a month with a hyperextended left knee, the result of a collision with teammate Collin Cowgill in the field during an Aug. 5 matchup against the Texas Rangers.

Prior to the injury, the 2011 AL All-Star was batting .301 with 11 home runs and 47 RBI in 108 games.

Kendrick is not in the lineup, however, for the Angels' opener of a three-game series with the Blue Jays.
