New Orleans, LA – Atlanta Falcons cornerback Asante Samuel is inactive for Sunday's season opener against the New Orleans Saints.
Samuel had limited reps in practice throughout the week due to a thigh injury. In 2012, he totaled 36 tackles and five interceptions in 15 games.
Robert McClain will start in place of Samuel.
Linebacker Stephen Nicholas (thigh) and wideout Roddy White (ankle) are both active after being listed as questionable on Friday's injury report.
