New York Giants running back Andre Brown was placed on the injured reserve-designated to return list on Wednesday.

Brown suffered a small crack in his left leg during the team's preseason finale. It was the same leg he fractured in November of last season.

The 26-year-old Brown rushed for 385 yards and eight touchdowns on 73 carries in 10 games last season. He was going to serve as the main backup to David Wilson this season.

Brown will first be eligible to play on Nov. 10 against the Oakland Raiders.

Additionally, the Giants signed defensive end Adewlae Ojomo to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and signed offensive lineman Sam Baker to the practice squad.

Ojomo recorded 2 1/2 sacks and 14 tackles during the preseason for the Giants.
