The Toronto Raptors waived veteran swingman Quentin Richardson on Tuesday.

Richardson was acquired from the New York Knicks along with center Marcus Camby, forward Steve Novak, a future first-round draft pick and two future second-round draft picks on July 10 in exchange for forward Andrea Bargnani. He appeared in just one regular-season game and five playoff contests with the Knicks last season.

The 18th overall pick in the 2000 NBA Draft, Richardson holds career averages of 10.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest over 783 regular- season games (486 starts) with the Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Knicks, Miami Heat and Orlando Magic.
