FC Augsburg have completed a deal to sign defender Jeong-Ho Hong from Korean side Jeju United, the Bundesliga club confirmed on Monday.
Hong, 24, makes the move to Germany after signing a new four-year contract, which will keep him at the SGL Arena until 2017.
Hong made 57 appearances over four seasons in the K-League and made his international debut for South Korea in 2010
"We are delighted to have signed Jeong-Ho Hong," Augsburg general manager Stefan Reuter said. "He will be strengthening our backline. Despite his young age he is an experienced international. For us it is great to end our search for a new central defender with his signature."
