Atletico Madrid defender Martin Demichelis has reunited with manager Manuel Pellegrini at Manchester City after completing a move to England.
Demichelis played under Pellegrini at both River Plate and Malaga, and the 32- year-old will provide depth to a City defense short on options due to injury concerns.
"I am delighted to have joined City because I am still hungry for success and want to improve," Demichelis told City's official website. "I have been in Europe for 11 years now and this was a great chance for me to play in the Premier League with such a big club."
Demichelis began his career at River Plate before moving to Bayern Munich, where he appeared in over 150 games for the Bavarian side before securing a switch to Malaga.
His deal expired this summer and he decided to sign with Atletico, but has now moved on to City after appearing in just one game for the club.
