The Philadelphia Phillies traded infielder Michael Young and cash considerations to the Los Angeles Dodgers for left- handed pitcher Rob Rasmussen on Saturday.

The 36-year-old Young, who was originally acquired by the Phillies on Dec. 9, 2012, from the Texas Rangers in exchange for right-handed pitchers Josh Lindblom and Lisalverto Bonilla, hit .276 with eight homers and 42 RBI in 126 games for Philly this season.

Rasmussen went 3-11 with a 4.11 ERA in 28 games -- 24 starts -- between Double-A Chattanooga and Triple-A Albuquerque.
