Catriona Matthew carded a 2-under 70 in blustery conditions on Sunday to claim a 2-stroke victory at the Ladies Scottish Open.

Matthew was one of just two players to finish the tournament under par at 8- under 208 as winds gusted up to 30 miles per hour at Archerfield Links. The victory was her sixth career win on the Ladies European Tour and her second in three years at this event.

"It's great to win at home. It's always nice play at home in front of your family and makes it special," said Matthew, who is from nearby North Berwick and is an honorary member at Archerfield.

Hanna Burke (68) finished in second place at 6-under, while Holly Clyburn (71) captured third at 2-over 218.

Carly Booth (73) and Pamela Pretswell (74) shared fourth at 3-over.

Matthew entered the day three shots ahead of the field and was never threatened as no one pulled closer than two throughout the final round.

She followed a pair of birdies at the second and fifth with a bogey at the ninth to make the turn at 7-under. After collecting gains at the 11th, 14th and 15th to move to 10-under, Matthew tripped to a double bogey at the par-4 16th to drop back to minus-8

She parred her final two holes to finish there.
