The Minnesota Vikings have kept converted quarterback Joe Webb as a wide receiver.

Webb survived the 19 cuts made by the Vikings before the deadline Saturday to reduce the roster to 53 players for the regular season. He's one of five players left at his new position, after Stephen Burton, Rodney Smith and Adam Thielen were waived.

Marcus Sherels was included as the fifth cornerback, meaning he'll be the punt returner again this year, but Brandon Burton and Bobby Felder were waived.

Guard Seth Olson was placed on injured reserve after suffering a concussion in the final exhibition game Thursday night. Fullback Jerome Felton and tackle DeMarcus Love don't count against the limit while serving suspensions by the NFL.
