Mystery men: No. 21 UCLA not sure what to expect from revamped Nevada in Rose Bowl opener

Coach Brian Polian already knew Chris Ault would be a tough act to follow at Nevada.

The task is even tougher with a season opener at the Rose Bowl against No. 21 UCLA.

Bruins coach Jim Mora and the preseason Pac-12 South favorites are big favorites in the Wolf Pack's first visit to Pasadena, but Mora is cautious. He's still not sure what offense Polian's coaching staff will throw at UCLA.

Nevada pioneered the pistol offense under Ault, but is expected to use elements of a spread offense this season as well. The Bruins don't know what their suspect defensive secondary will face from Nevada quarterback Cody Fajardo, an Orange County native.

But UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley looked sharp in training camp after setting school records as a freshman.
