MLB's Last Month For Regular Season

The final month of Major League Baseball's regular season gets underway this week with five live key matchups scheduled on FOX Sports. Starting out the week, the top two teams in the American League West battle it out as the Texas Rangers head to Oakland to take on the Athletics. Since 2010, Texas has finished either first or second in the division, advancing to the playoffs in each of those years. Last year, however, Oakland ended the Rangers two-year American League West title hold and claimed the championship for the first time since 2006. Expect these two teams to battle to the last day again this year as both teams have solid pitching staffs. Yu Darvish paces the Rangers, while Bartolo Colon leads the A's with both teams having good pitching deeper into the rotation. With pitching fairly equal, the division may come down to which team can produce the most offense, with the Rangers appearing to have an advantage. Third baseman Adrian Beltre leads the club in hits and doubles, however, the loss of Nelson Cruz until the postseason could impact the team's fortunes. Tune in as the push to the playoffs continues with two games between the Rangers and A's, as well as games that feature the other American League division leaders, Boston and Detroit.
