Gwen Jorgensen won her third ITU World Triathlon Series title of the season, finishing nearly 50 seconds ahead of the field in Stockholm. With the win, she reclaimed the lead in the series standings.

ARCHERY

The U.S. men won the silver medal in team recurve at the FITA World Cup in Wroclaw, Poland.

BOWLING

Team USA collected four medals (3 golds, 1 silver) at the WTBA World Championships in Henderson, Nev. Competition continues this week.

CANOE/KAYAK

The U.S. men won the silver medal and finished fifth in the K1 and C1 team events at the ICF Slalom World Cup Final in Bratislava, Slovakia.

CYCLING

The U.S. led all nations with 25 medals (14 golds, 4 silvers, 7 bronzes) at the UCI Para-cycling Road World Cup Final in Matane, Quebec. Monica Bascio and Jamie Whitmore won overall titles in WH3 and WC3.

MODERN PENTATHLON

Margaux Isaksen and Nathan Schrimsher finished fifth in the mixed relay at the UIPM World Championships in Kaoshiung, Taiwan.

ROWING

Twelve U.S. crews advanced after the second day at the FISA World Championships in Chungju, Korea. Competition continues through Sept. 1.

SKI & SNOWBOARD

U.S. snowboarders Kelly Clark and Jamie Anderson claimed gold medals in women���s halfpipe and slopestyle at the FIS World Cup in Cardrona, New Zealand. In freestyle skiing, Nick Goepper took gold in men���s slopestyle.

TENNIS

Sam Querrey advanced to the semifinals, but lost to Austria���s Jurgen Melzer, 6-2, 4-6, 6-3, at the Winston-Salem Open. After advancing to the quarterfinals of the New Haven Open, Sloane Stephens lost to Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark, 7-6 (8/6), 6-2.

VOLLEYBALL

Kelly Schumacher and Summer Ross advanced to the first round of playoffs at the FIVB Moscow Grand Slam in Russia.
