Bobby Convey's second-half tally rescued a point for Toronto FC on Saturday as the Reds battled to a 1-1 stalemate with D.C. United at RFK Stadium.

The result snaps Toronto FC's two-match losing streak, but the club is still in the midst of a three-game winless run, while D.C. United remains winless in five of their last six league matches.

United opened the scoring 10 minutes into the game as Dwayne De Rosario collected the ball on the left side of the pitch and cut to the center of the park before unleashing a curling strike from 30 yards that beat TFC goalkeeper Joe Bendik to the upper 90 for his third goal of the season.

But Toronto found its equalizer on the hour mark as Bobby Convey deposited it home following a nice assist by Reggie Lambe to put the sides back on level terms.

Both sides sent numbers forward in search of a winner, but it never materialized and they were forced to settle for a point apiece.
