The doctor who operated on Robert Griffin III's knee has met with Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder and general manager Bruce Allen.

Dr. James Andrews chatted with Snyder and Allen on the sideline before Monday night's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

While they talked, Griffin was on the field in full uniform, once again dressing as if he were going to play, even though coach Mike Shanahan has said that won't happen.

Andrews is a team physician and routinely attends the team's home games.

Shanahan said last week Andrews has recommended that Griffin not play in the preseason and not practice at full-speed. Griffin has lobbied publicly to do both, leading to differences between quarterback and coach.

Griffin had reconstructive knee surgery in January.
