Butler forward Roosevelt Jones will miss the upcoming season after injuring his left wrist during an exhibition game in Australia.

Jones suffered ligament damage after falling on his wrist. The school says in a news release he will undergo season-ending surgery.

The 6-foot-4 junior was the Bulldogs top returning scorer and rebounder.

Jones was injured in the first game of the trip and he didn't play in the final three games of the tour. His injury was examined further upon the team's return to Indianapolis, where it was determined that surgery would be necessary.

Jones averaged 10.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and a team-high 3.5 assists for the Bulldogs (27-9) last season. He was the lone Butler player to start all 36 games last season.
