The Pittsburgh Pirates called up minor league home run leader Andrew Lambo to the active roster on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old Lambo, who has 31 homers on the year, is hitting .284 in 117 games for Double-A Altoona and Triple-A Indianapolis.

The left-handed hitting Lambo was acquired along with James MacDonald from the Dodgers for Octavio Dotel prior to the 2010 trade deadline.

To make room for Lambo on the active roster, Pittsburgh optioned outfielder Alex Presley to Indianapolis.
