Bills QB Kolb shows progress in 2nd day of practice; WR Graham unlikely to play against Vikes

Buffalo Bills quarterback Kevin Kolb has taken a big step toward being cleared to make his preseason debut against the Minnesota Vikings on Friday.

Second-year receiver T.J. Graham, meanwhile, is unlikely to play because of a groin injury.

Those were among the updates coach Doug Marrone provided after practice Tuesday.

Marrone said Kolb is on track to play Friday based on how the seventh-year player performed in his second practice since twisting his left knee. Kolb missed eight days and Buffalo's preseason-opener at Indianapolis on Sunday.

Kolb is competing with rookie first-round draft pick EJ Manuel for the starting job.

Graham was held out of practice a day after he was hurt.

Starting safety Aaron Williams limped off and did not return after experiencing what Marrone called cramps.
