3 share lead at suspended Price Cutter Charity Championship

Springfield, MO – Alex Prugh fired a 63 on Friday to grab a share of the lead at the suspended Price Cutter Charity Championship.

Prugh is tied with 2010 champion Hunter Haas and Miguel Angel Carballo, who both carded 65s at Highland Springs Country Club. The three co-leaders sit it at 12-under-par 132 through 36 holes.

"Fortunately I'm seeing the lines and putting well," Prugh said. "I knew that I was putting well and knew that I didn't have to hit it close. Just get me on the green and I'll take my chances."

Andrew Loupe is tied for fourth place at 10-under after a second-round 68. He sits alongside Daniel Chopra, who was 5-under through 13 holes when the second round was called due to darkness.

Officials are still trying to catch up after inclement weather delayed the tournament's start for over five hours on Thursday. The first round was completed on Friday, and half the field was still on the course when darkness set in later that evening. The second round will resume Saturday at 9 a.m. ET.

Prugh and Haas were paired together, with each golfer's stellar play motivating the other.

"You definitely feed off of each other, You're seeing good shots. You're seeing people get up-and-down for par. You're seeing putts drop in. There's definitely a vibe there. It's fun seeing the ball go in the hole," said Prugh, who had seven birdies and an eagle at the par-5 18th.

Haas, who is 9-for-9 in cuts made at this event, went bogey-free with seven birdies.

"To score under par, this is probably my best course on tour," he said. "I'm surprised it took so long to win. That sounds kind of arrogant but I just felt like I was close many times."

Carballo countered his lone bogey with eight birdies, including three straight from the 16th.

NOTES: Haas has been under par in 32 of his 34 total rounds at this tournament ...Prugh hit 17 greens in regulation ... Defending champion Chris Wilson is 2- under through 36 holes ... Reid Edstrom was disqualified after the first round for signing an incorrect scorecard. He signed for a par-4 on the 10th when he actually had a bogey-5.
