Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre has been named American League Player of the Month for July.

Beltre batted .369 with four doubles, nine home runs, 19 RBI and 13 runs scored over a span of 26 games to earn his fourth career Player of the Month Award.

The Dominican Republic native finished first in homers, second in slugging percentage (.670), tied for second in hits, and tied for fifth in RBI among AL players.

The three-time All-Star hit two home runs in a game twice (July 4, July 9) in a week. He also went 4-for-4 with five RBI in the July 9th 8-4 victory against the Baltimore Orioles.

Others receiving votes included Seattle's Kyle Seager, Detroit's Torii Hunter and Victor Martinez, Los Angeles' Mike Trout, Baltimore's Adam Jones, and Tampa Bay's Wil Myers.
