The Houston Astros recalled pitcher Brad Peacock from Triple-A Oklahoma City to start Sunday's series finale against the Minnesota Twins.

The 25-year-old Peacock began the season in the club's rotation, but a rough first month that included a 9.41 ERA led to a demotion on May 2. The righty returned to the majors in late May, making three relief appearances before sent back to Oklahoma City.

Peacock has excelled for the RedHawks since returning on June 8, going 5-0 with a 1.73 ERA in nine starts.

The Astros opened a roster spot by optioning outfielder Jimmy Paredes to Oklahoma City.
