Scott Dixon took full advantage of IndyCar's mid-summer break, spending the two weeks after victories at Pocono and Toronto last month hanging out with his wife and attending birthday parties with his daughters.
Dixon went back to work on Friday during practice for this weekend's Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio. The 33-year-old is looking to become the first driver in the open-wheel series to win four straight races since 2006.
The run has allowed Dixon to claw within striking distance of points leader Helio Castroneves with six races remaining.
The two-time champion says he's not thinking about catching Castroneves just yet but is pleased with his team's progress after a rough start. Dixon could draw closer this weekend at a track where he's already won four times.
