She’s a fighter, a media phenomenon, an actress and now she’s has her own spread in Maxim magazine.
Ronda Rousey has crossover appeal and it shows in the September issue of Maxim.
The UFC bantamweight champion is featured prominently cavorting on the beach and casually covering herself when she’s not wearing a bikini top.
A lion is featured on her bikini bottom, rear side, as she gazes at the camera.
The former Olympian in judo is at her physical peak.
This is just one of many new opportunities Rousey has taken advantage of since she burst onto the mixed martial arts scene in Strikeforce before becoming the first women’s champion to hold UFC gold.
Rousey appeared in the ESPN The Magazine body issue, made the Maxim Hot 100, appeared on CONAN and next year will appear in Sylvester Stallone’s “Expendables 3.”
But first and foremost, she’s still a fighter.
“One of the many things I love about Ronda is Ronda asked me if she could do the movie, and I was totally cool with it because it’s not going to interfere with her training schedule or any of the things we’ll do for December 28th, so I don’t have a problem,” UFC President Dana White told MMAFighting.com.
Rousey recently wrapped up a role as a coach on “The Ultimate Fighter” and is expected to face her arch nemesis Miesha Tate this December on pay-per-view.
