Ivory Latta of the Washington Mystics and Tina Thompson of the Seattle Storm were named the WNBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played from July 22-29.

Latta scored 18 points and dished out a 2013 league-best 13 assists during Washington's 82-78 comeback victory over the Chicago Sky on July 24.

Thompson ended with a team-high 23 points in a 73-66 road win over Los Angeles on July 25. The veteran forward won this award for the seventh time in her career.

Both players also took part in Saturday's All-Star game. Latta scored 15 points and added three assists, while Thompson was selected to the All-Star game for a league-record ninth time.

Others considered for this week's awards were Atlanta's Angel McCoughtry and Indiana's Tamika Catchings in the East, as well as Los Angeles' Candace Parker and Minnesota's Lindsay Whalen in the West.
