Detroit Tigers third baseman Miguel Cabrera will play in Saturday's interleague matchup against the Phillies.

The 30-year-old Cabrera is expected to hit third in the lineup against Philadelphia's Raul Valdes.

Cabrera has missed the last four games due to a sore left hip flexor muscle, which he aggravated in the fifth inning of Monday's game against the White Sox.

The reigning American League MVP is leading the AL with 76 runs scored, 63 walks, a .358 batting average and .454 on-base percentage, while he is second with 134 hits, 31 home runs, 96 RBI and a .666 slugging percentage this season.

Last year, Cabrera became the first triple crown winner in the majors since 1967.
