The Denver Nuggets officially signed free-agent guard Nate Robinson to a multi-year contract on Friday.

Robinson joins the Nuggets after spending one season in Chicago, where he averaged 13.1 points and 4.4 assists while playing all 82 games. In the playoffs, he scored an average of 16.3 points per game.

"Nate provides a unique combination of speed, scoring, passion and explosiveness," Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly said. "He's proven that he can fit in any system and enjoy success at any tempo."

The 5-foot-9 Robinson has averaged 11.5 points, 3.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 530 career games with New York, Boston, Oklahoma City, Golden State and Chicago.
