London, England – Tottenham secured the services of Belgian winger Nacer Chadli from Twente on Friday for an undisclosed fee.
The two teams agreed on a transfer fee for the player on Sunday, and now Chadli has completed personal terms and passed a medical to push the deal through.
"We are delighted to confirm the signing of Nacer Chadli from FC Twente after the player agreed personal terms and successfully completed his medical," read a statement on Tottenham's website.
"The Belgium international is expected to be available for the first time when we travel to Monaco for our preseason fixture on Saturday, August 3."
The 23-year-old tallied 12 goals in 26 Eredivisie matches last season for Twente, which finished in sixth place.
Also on Friday, the club confirmed that defender Jan Vertonghen could miss the start of the Premier League season due to an ankle injury.
Vertonghen sustained the problem in a friendly with Sunderland in Hong Kong on Wednesday, and manager Andre Villas-Boas has said the 26-year-old will likely miss the next couple weeks of training.
Tottenham opens its league campaign on Aug. 18 against Crystal Palace.
