Predators give Spaling one-year deal

Nashville, TN – The Nashville Predators have avoided arbitration with Nick Spaling by signing the forward to a one-year, $1.5 million contract.

Spaling had nine goals and four assists in 47 games with the Predators last season.

Originally selected by Nashville in the second round of the 2007 draft, Spaling has 27 goals and 25 assists in 226 career contests with the Predators.
