ALLEN PARK, Mich. – The Detroit Lions have signed wide receiver Chaz Schilens, who had 28 catches for the New York Jets last season.
The team did not disclose contract terms Wednesday.
The 27-year-old Schilens started six games for the Jets last season. He spent the previous four years with the Oakland Raiders, the team that drafted him in the seventh round in 2008.
Schilens is also an accomplished baseball player. The Detroit Tigers drafted him in the 34th round out of high school.
