The Dallas Mavericks officially signed free agent shooting guard Monta Ellis Tuesday.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Ellis is expected to earn $30 million over three years.

Ellis is the third guard signed by Dallas this offseason after adding point guards Jose Calderon and Devin Harris. The team also selected point man Shane Larkin with its first-round pick in the 2013 draft and signed Israeli free-agent point guard Gal Mekel.

Ellis, who will be 28 when next season begins, averaged 19.2 points and 6.0 assists while connecting on just 41.6 percent from the field in 82 games with the Milwaukee Bucks last season. He was traded by the Golden State Warriors to Milwaukee during the 2012 season in a five-player deal.

Over his career, the volume shooter has averaged 19.4 points and 4.7 assists over 516 games with the Warriors and Bucks.
