Philadelphia, PA – PGA TOUR - RBC CANADIAN OPEN, Glen Abbey Golf Course, Oakville, Ontario - The PGA Tour heads back across the Atlantic Ocean to Canada this week for the RBC Canadian Open.
Last year, Scott Piercy closed with a 3-under 67 to finish at 17-under-par 263 and claim his second career victory on the PGA Tour.
His total of 263 matched tournament's scoring record, first set by Johnny Palmer in 1952.
Piercy will be on hand this week to try and become the first player since Jim Furyk in 2007 to successfully defend his title at this event.
Also in the field will be 29 players who participated in last week's British Open, including world No. 6 Matt Kuchar, Dustin Johnson, Charl Schwartzel and Bubba Watson.
Adam Hadwin, Eugene Wong and Graeme DeLaet highlight a group of 13 Canadians in the field.
The Golf Channel and CBS will split television coverage.
The PGA Tour heads to Nevada next week for the Reno-Tahoe Open, where J.J. Henry tallied seven points in Sunday's final round to win by a single point over Alexandre Rocha. The tournament uses a Modified Stableford scoring system.
CHAMPIONS TOUR
SENIOR BRITISH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP, Royal Birkdale Golf Course, Southport, Merseyside, England - The Champions Tour returns from a week off for the circuit's third consecutive major championship, the Senior British Open.
Fred Couples birdied the final two holes last year to claim a 2-stroke victory at Turnberry and earn his second major on the Champions Tour.
Couples will return to defend his title. Two of the three majors winners this season, Kohki Idoki and David Frost, are also in the field this week.
Kenny Perry, who won the Constellation Senior Players Championship and U.S. Senior Open Championship in back-to-back fashion the last two weeks, will not be participating this week.
Several past winners of the claret jug will be in the field this week, including Mark O'Meara, Tom Watson and Duffy Waldorf.
ESPN2 will have television coverage of all four rounds.
The Champions Tours heads back to the states next week for the 3M Championship, where Bernhard Langer fired a 10-under 62 in the final round to rally and win by two shots.
EUROPEAN TOUR
M2M RUSSIAN OPEN, Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club, Moscow, Russia - The European Tour heads to Russia for the first time since 2008 this week for the inaugural Russian Open.
The Tseleevo Golf & Polo Club has hosted events on the Challenge Tour the last three years and the winners of those are in the field this week: Alex Kaleka (2012), Sam Little (2011) and Carlos Del Moral (2010).
Also in the field will be Russians Yevgeny Kafelnikov, who is a former tennis star, Andrey Pavlov and Konstantin Lifanov.
Golf Channel will have television coverage of all four rounds.
The European Tour will make its way to America and again team up with the PGA Tour next week for the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, where Keegan Bradley fired a bogey-free, 6-under 64 during his last round a year ago to come from behind and defeat Jim Furyk and Steve Stricker by a stroke.
WEB.COM TOUR
ALBERTSONS BOISE OPEN, Hillcrest Country Club, Boise, Idaho - The Web.com Tour makes its way to Idaho this week for the Albertsons Boise Open.
Last year, Luke Guthrie fired a 6-under 65 during the final round to come from behind and claim his first career win on the Web.com Tour.
Guthrie will not be in the field to defend his title this week as he is participating in the PGA Tour's RBC Canadian Open.
Golf Channel will have television coverage of all four rounds.
The Web.com Tour heads to Pennsylvania next week for the Mylan Classic, where Robert Streb ran away with a 4-stroke win last year.
