NEW YORK – The New York Liberty signed Samantha Prahalis to a seven-day contract on Monday.
Prahalis was picked seventh by the Mercury in the 2012 WNBA draft and averaged 11.6 points and 4.5 assists last season. With Diana Taurasi moving to the point this year, Prahalis' time was cut and she only played in eight games before being waived by Phoenix on Thursday.
The point guard grew up on Long Island and went to Ohio State before getting drafted by the Mercury.
New York had room on its roster after waiving forward Avery Warley last week.
