Garza scratched from Monday start

Chicago pitcher Matt Garza has been scratched from his scheduled start on Monday, as the Cubs kick off a four-game series with the Diamondbacks.

According to multiple reports, the 29-year-old is close to being dealt to the Texas Rangers in a package deal which includes infielder Mike Olt and pitching prospect C.J. Edwards.

Garza has gone 6-1 with a 3.17 earned run average in 11 starts this season, his third with Chicago.

Chris Rusin has been slotted into Garza's place.
