The Columbus Blue Jackets have signed defenseman Blake Parlett and forward Spencer Machacek to one-year, two-way (NHL/AHL) contracts.

The 24-year-old Parlett was acquired from the New York Rangers along with Marian Gaborik and Steven Delisle on April 3, 2013, in exchange for Derek Dorsett, Derick Brassard, John Moore and a sixth-round draft pick in 2014. In 76 AHL games last season, he had eight goals and 24 assists.

Machacek, also 24, was acquired from the Winnipeg Jets on March 10, 2013, for forward Tomas Kubalik. Atlanta's first pick, 67th overall, in the 2007 NHL draft, he had two goals and seven assists in 25 career games with the Jets/Thrashers franchise. The right winger has also appeared in 359 AHL games, scoring 98 goals with 141 assists.
