Seattle Sounders FC midfielder Osvaldo Alonso will be eligible to play in Saturday's match with the Colorado Rapids after an independent review panel rescinded his red-card suspension on Wednesday.
Alonso was issued a red card in the closing moments of Seattle's 1-0 defeat to San Jose on July 13 when he got into an altercation with Earthquakes defender Dan Gargan, which would have carried a one-game suspension.
But after reviewing the incident, the independent panel ruled that the contact Alonso made with Gargan wasn't enough to warrant a violent conduct charge, allowing him to play on Saturday.
