The Nashville Predators on Wednesday inked forward Rich Clune to a two-year contract extension worth $1.7 million for the duration.
The 26-year-old totaled four goals, nine points and 113 penalty minutes in 47 regular-season games during the lockout-shortened 2013 season.
Clune is due $525,000 for the upcoming season, after which he was scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent.
A former third-round pick of Dallas in the 2005 draft, Clune has 11 points in 61 NHL games to his credit. He broke into the NHL with Los Angeles during a 14-game stint in 2009-10.
