Sylvia Fowles of the Chicago Sky and the Los Angeles Sparks' Candace Parker have been chosen as the WNBA Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played from July 8-14.

Fowles averaged 20.0 points, 13.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in a pair of Chicago wins to take home her first Player of the Week honor this season and sixth of her career. It's the third consecutive week a Chicago player has taken the honor in the Eastern Conference after rookie Elena Delle Donne garnered the award the previous two weeks.

Parker took home the West award for the second straight time, third this season, and 13th time in her career. The first overall pick of the 2008 WNBA Draft averaged a league-best 25.5 points, while grabbing 8.0 rebounds per game in a pair of victories for the Sparks.

Others considered for this week's awards were Delle Donne, Connecticut's Tina Charles, Indiana's Erlana Larkins, and Washington's Crystal Langhorne in the East, as well as Minnesota's Lindsay Whalen and Nicole Powell of Tulsa in the West.
