Riley Wheeldon closed with a 6-under 66 on Sunday to come from behind and win the Syncrude Boreal Open.
Wheeldon ended his first PGA Tour Canada win at 13-under-par 275.
Lucas Lee, who shared the third-round lead with Joel Dahmen, managed a 3-under 69 to take second at minus-12. Cory Renfrew was one stroke further back at 11- under 277 after a final-round 67 at Fort McMurray Golf Club.
Dahmen carded a 1-under 71 to end alongside David Dragoo (70) at minus-10.
Wheeldon did his scoring in bunches on Sunday. He poured in three birdies in a 4-hole span from the fifth to jump to 10-under.
After pars at nine and 10, Wheeldon converted back-to-back birdies at 11 and 12 to grab the lead at minus-12. He birdied the 14th to push his advantage to two.
Wheeldon, who was in the third-to-last group on Sunday, parred the final four holes, then waited to see if anyone could catch him, and no one did.
Lee came closest to forcing a playoff. He had a bogey and two birdies on the front nine. Another birdie at 12 got him to 11-under. Lee needed an eagle at the last to force an extra session, but only managed a birdie to end one back.
NOTES: Wheeldon earned $27,000 for the victory ... The PGA Tour Canada heads to Manitoba next week for The Players Cup, where Chris Killmer beat Vincent Covello in a playoff last year.
