Former world No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt and 2007 runner-up Nicolas Mahut will square off in Sunday's final at the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships after both men were semifinal victors earlier in the day.

Both matches were slated to take place Saturday, but rain washed out play for the day, forcing the matches to be pushed back to Sunday, just hours before the final was scheduled to get underway.

The title match will be played as scheduled at 2:30 p.m. (ET), leaving Mahut and Hewitt little time to rest and prepare for the final.

Mahut will be the more rested of the two, as he breezed past American Michael Russell 6-2, 6-2 in just over an hour on Court 1 to punch his ticket to the final, becoming the first Frenchman to reach the title match at Newport since Fabrice Santoro in 2008.

Mahut, who captured his first career ATP World Tour title in the Netherlands last month, will try to secure his second when he squares off with Hewitt, who snuck past two-time reigning champion John Isner in a rematch of last year's final in Newport.

Isner straight-setted Hewitt in last year's title match and stole the first set Sunday before the fourth-seeded Aussie rallied back for a 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 triumph on Center Court.

Mahut and Hewitt have squared off twice before, with Hewitt taking both meetings back in 2008.

The winner of this $520,000 event will claim $78,000.
