The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Matt D'Agostini to a one-year, $550,000 contract, general manager Ray Shero announced Wednesday.

D'Agostini comes to Pittsburgh with 267 games of NHL experience in which the 26-year-old has compiled 47 goals and 48 assists. The majority of that point total came as a member of St. Louis in 2010-11, during which he established career bests of 21 goals and 25 assists while playing in all 82 games.

The Ontario native wasn't as productive while splitting last season between the Blues and New Jersey Devils, managing just three goals and six points over a combined 29 games.

A sixth-round draft choice of Montreal in 2005, D'Agostini also notched 12 goals in 53 games as a rookie with the Canadiens in 2008-09.
