Baltimore Orioles left-hander Wei-Yin Chen will make his first start in nearly two months during Wednesday's game against the Texas Rangers, with the team activating the hurler from the 15-day disabled list prior to the contest.

Chen has been sidelined since May 13 with a strained right oblique, but pronounced himself ready for Wednesday's assignment after firing seven shutout innings in a rehab assignment with Double-A Bowie last Thursday.

The second-year major league was having a solid campaign prior to getting hurt, posting a 3.04 earned run average along with a 3-3 record through his first eight starts of 2013.

Baltimore also recalled right-hander Josh Stinson from Triple-A Norfolk in time for Wednesday's matchup, with pitchers Zach Britton and Kevin Gausman optioned to the Tides following Tuesday's 8-4 loss to the Rangers.

Stinson allowed five runs and four homers through 5 2/3 innings of a spot start against Toronto back on April 24. In 15 starts at Norfolk this season, the 25-year-old has gone 4-4 with a 4.23 ERA.
